CARE GUIDE

Looking After Your Pieces

Quality lasts longer when you look after it.

Wool & Knitwear

Dry-clean when possible, or hand-wash in cool water with a gentle detergent. Never wring. Roll in a clean towel to remove excess water, then lay flat to dry away from direct heat. Wool needs washing far less often than you think - air between wears. Fold knitwear, never hang it. Store with cedar blocks or lavender to discourage moths.

Leather & Suede

Keep leather away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth when needed. Condition periodically with a quality leather balm to maintain suppleness. For suede, use a specialist brush to restore the nap. Store in a breathable dust bag, never plastic.

Cotton & Linen

Machine wash at 30 degrees with like colours. Linen softens with every wash. Hang to dry where possible. Iron while slightly damp for best results. Linen creases are natural, not a fault.

Footwear

Use shoe trees after wear to maintain shape. Allow leather shoes to rest a day between wears. Clean with a damp cloth and condition regularly. Store away from direct heat. For suede, brush gently and use a waterproofing spray before first wear.

Pilling

Some pilling is natural in the first weeks of wear, particularly on knitwear. It is a sign of real fibre, not a defect. Use a fabric comb to remove pills gently. The garment will settle with time and grow smoother with age.
